As part of our commitment to community engagement, we hold a half-termly parent forum in which all parents are invited to attend. During these informal meetings we discuss all things related to the Uphall Family. It provides an opportunity for parents and carers to share their views, perspectives and ideas. It also gives opportunity for members of the staff team to share updates and information. We usually invite special guests to talk about key areas of school development and our forum is very much an opportunity for our parents to learn about our school and what we do and for us to learn more about our parents.
It was lovely to host our first parent forum of the year on Wednesday 23rd October. We had a fantastic turnout and it was so nice to see so many parents, including both our regulars as well as some parents that came for the first time. We see ourselves as the Uphall family, and the parent forum is an informal opportunity for parents and school staff and guest presenters to come together to talk about all things Uphall. If you haven’t been to one before, please join us for the next one next half term. This week I reiterated our whole school values of RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, PERSEVERANCE, KINDNESS, FRIENDSHIP, EMPATHY and JUSTICE. Mr Rahman, our Maths Leader, shared some of the work that we have been doing at our school to develop Maths Mastery. And we also welcomed Peter, who came to talk to us about ways in which we can reduce air pollution. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
