At Uphall Primary School we believe that it is of the utmost importance that children develop good habits in terms of attendance and punctuality. Good attendance enables children to make the most of their learning opportunities and maximise their achievement.
It also enables children to develop important attitudes for when they go out into the world of work.
Good attendance at school is unarguably an important factor when considering children’s progress. We want all of our children to achieve well.
At Uphall Primary School, we work in partnership with parents to ensure we support good attendance for all our children from Nursery all the way up to Year Six. Missed learning opportunities in the Early Years can impact negatively on children’s later educational achievement. We believe in establishing firm foundations in terms of good attendance and punctuality enables children to learn the basic skills that are vital to later educational success.
