We’re excited to announce that Innovation Pod will run an Award-winning Coding and Robotics club at Uphall Primary this November. Read the curriculum and find full details about the clubs below. Â
Years 1-2
Children in Key Stage One will be treated to an exhilarating module, ‘Tynker’. In our module, ‘Tynker’ the pupils learn the core skills of sequences, events, loops, conditionals and boolean as they navigate through adventurous landscapes and mystical worlds.
Years 3-6
Children in Key Stage Two will challenge themselves with a stimulating module, ‘Coding 101’. ‘Coding 101’ teaches a broad range of coding skills such as loops, variables, boolean, conditionals and events through captivating games, including STAR WARS and dancing pineapples.
Dates and times
Clubs take place straight after school until 4:30pm
Years 1&2: Tuesdays from 2nd November – 7th December
Years 3-6: Wednesdays from 3rd November – 11th December
Snack
As our club is straight after school, parents can pack a healthy snack in accordance with the school’s food policies.
Pick-up and drop off
Children are collected from their classroom and taken straight to their club. At the end of the session, children will be either picked up by a guardian from the front entrance or taken to another provision at the school.
Price
£5.50 (plus VAT) per session. Payment for the full course is taken as a one-off Direct Debit of £39.60. This is NOT a recurring payment and you will NOT be entered into a subscription.
